HISTORY

Fingen was founded in 1979 by Marcello and Corrado Fratini, respectively President and Vice-President of the group. Their business began in the fashion sector, developing there before expanding into the retail and property world. Fingen has been working since the 1980s through proprietary brands and long-standing licences with names like Calvin Klein, Cotton Belt, Guess Jeans and afterwards with the brand Kathy Van Zeeland.

Fingen is active in the retail sector through the Tie Rack and Rolling Luggage brands, with a network of over 300 retail locations of which more than 150 are situated in the world's major airports, and through the Kathy Van Zeeland brand, which has 30 single-brand shops throughout Italy.

The group has been concentrating the majority of its investments in recent years in property development through the RDM company; founded in 1998 in partnership with Jacopo Mazzei, Real Estate Development Management has a portfolio of income-generating assets of €250 million and development assets of around €1.3 billion.

Fingen is also active in the outlet centre sector in synergy with the McArthurGlen and Richardson groups; designer outlets in Serravalle Scrivia (province of Alessandria), Castel Romano (province of Rome) and Barberino di Mugello (province of Florence) have recently been joined by two new centres, the first in Noventa di Piave (province of Venice), and the second in Marcianise, near Naples, is the first outlet centre in Southern Italy. This series of investments have proven to be of great significance within the Italian market.
A new outlet center has recently opened in Beijing (China), the Florentia Village.
